Colten Hartman tosses the ball to Ethan Richardson as the Pearland All Stars warm up for practice.For the first time since 2016, a Pearland team will participate in the Southwestern Region Little League championship tournament in Waco as the boys continue their quest to earn a berth to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

Manager Aaron Cummings’ crew of 12-year-olds will be in a field of seven other state champions, stretching from Colorado to Mississippi. It all starts Aug. 4 when Pearland opposes the Arkansas state champs.
