The Rivers State chapter of the PDP has called on the police to fish out a group of kinsmen of the Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, threatening to burn down the state following unresolved crisis in the All Progressives Congress (APC).

But the PDP’s state Chairman, Desmond Akawor in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Tambara Gbara, wondered why the factional leader of APC would allow such miscreants to make misguided comments against Wike.He described Wike as a responsible leader preoccupied with delivering the dividends of democracy to Rivers people and would not meddle into irrelevant issues in another political party.
“The state cannot be allowed to go back to the dark days of the leadership of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as the Governor of Rivers state, where the judicial arm of the government was held under siege, a situation where both lawyers, magistrates, judges, and the entire judicial staffs were locked out of the court premises for several months.
