The board of trustees (BoT) of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed concerns over the postponement of the party’s national executive committee (NEC) meeting, citing a loss of members' confidence and worries that the party may have been hijacked by certain interests. The BoT, meeting in Abuja, called for the meeting to be held by February as previously promised.
The board of trustees of the says the continued shifting of the party’s national executive committee meeting is eroding members’ confidence.
The national working committee of the PDP, led by Umar Damagum, the acting national chairman, had postponed the NEC meeting twice in the last two months.
“The BoT demands that the NWC should show leadership, honour its word, and convene the NEC meeting as scheduled in February 2025.
