Also yesterday, the House of Representatives Caucus of the PDP said the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission should be allowed to take over the probe of the NPA activities, rather than a ministerial panel.
The PDP said that recent revelation of sleaze in the two agencies have shown that the MDAs have become the cash cows and Automated Teller Machines of greedy leaders of the Administration. The lawmakers asked the EFCC to immediately “take in the indicted Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman, and commence a system-wide investigation with a view to prosecuting her, if found wanting”.
