PDP rejects Zamfara LG council election
Zamfara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has described last Saturday’s local government polls in the state as a kangaroo election.
He held that both the All Progressives Congress, APC-led government and the state independent electoral commission have gone contrary to the provisions of the Constitution of Nigeria and the Electoral Act. “We cannot imagine how only one party could conduct election even when the whole people working in the state electoral commission are on the state government’s payroll,” he stressed.
He, however, called on the court to nullify the election and set another agenda for an official election into the leadership of the local government election in the state.
