Lovejoy has dedicated much of his intellectual energy to examining these historical events so that the scholarly efforts to appropriately register the contributions of every party to the problems of Africans and others, who once experienced slavery, would be understood and put in the right context.

In the spirit of fairness, the common attitude to recognising objects is harsh, taken for granted, based on the misleading assumption that we need not study them. Why natron, why bitter kola?
