The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has constituted a 14-person committee to look into the civil disturbances in the Patigi and Lafiagi areas of the state.
Recall that one person was killed in a communal clash between Fulani herdsmen and indigenes of Lata in the Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State last week Sunday.
The committee, which is chaired by a former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Benjamin Yissa, is to ascertain the level of damage and recommend reliefs to the victims, among other things. A statement signed by Rafiu Ajakaye Chief Press Secretary to the governor, on Monday said that the committee had a week to submit its report after inauguration. All rights reserved.
