This is coming against the backdrop of a claim by an LP candidate in Oyo State, Tawfiq Akinwale, that Tinubu asked Utomi to step down for Peter Obi in the buildup to the 2023 general elections.Tweeting, Utomi wrote: “Truly if any flow from BAT came to me, I would quickly withdraw money I spent at his urging in 2007 paid to an international PR agency for an Orange revolution-type campaign to stop 3rd term but not refunded.“As for funding PO, I cannot but be amazed at this disinformation.
“The outpouring of resources of citizens in support groups and PO’s prudent draw on his own purse was so humbling I even turned to ODs to fund my own activities in support of the campaign for faith in saving Nigeria.”
