Parties field underage candidates for Bayelsa, Kogi polls
Under the “Not Too Young to Run Act” signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari, candidates standing for governorship elections are expected to have attained the age of 35 to be eligible to contest the election.The INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee , Festus Okoye, said on Thursday in Abuja that the commission will notify the concerned parties soon and subsequently consider further action.
