The family of Prof Michael Okwudili in the Oyi local government area of Anambra State has petitioned the Nigeria Police Force over one Mrs Chidimma Mariatha Agulanna and her husband Mr Agulanna, who they accused of child abduction and trafficking. SaharaReporters reported how the twin daughter of the professor allegedly stolen at birth 20 years ago, reconnected with her biological parents in a dramatic episode.

November 16, 2022However, Professor Okwudili and his wife have now petitioned the Deputy Inspector General of Police Force, FCIID, to investigate the mystery.

It had been reported that the “stolen” daughter, Julie Ufodiama, a student of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ebonyi, discovered few weeks ago in what appears as a twist of fate and share providence that she is a twin and had another parents. In the petition titled"Petition Against Mrs Chidimma Mariatha Agulanna And Her Husband, Mr Agulanna For Child Abduction And Trafficking," dated November 12, 2022, the petitioners are demanding thorough investigation of how their daughter was stolen at birth and taken away for 20 years.

"Our client's reliably informed us that the results of ultrasound scanning during her whole period of pregnancy were not disclosed to them but were rather withheld by Dr Oguannua and his nurses. "Our client's informed us that they never suspected anything until, recently when a girl with so much resemblance with their son came to one of the shop's that they rented out to a customer who is a hairdresser to learn hairdressing. Everybody was calling her the twin sister to our client's son.
