The labour leaders, who arrived the Secretariat as early as 7:30am, ensured all the entrance gates were shut, leaving out some workers who reported for duty.

The situation is in fulfilment of the threat by the labour leaders who on Monday expressed dismay at the level of non-compliance with the sit-at-home directive of the national leadership of the labour unions.As it was on Monday, security operatives including officers of the Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps , Department of State Security , Oyo Amotekun Corps among others were stationed at the secretariat.
