Oyo, Ondo and Bayelsa states have unveiled their plans to tackle the spread of the deadly coronavirus in the country.
An unnamed Italian, who arrived in the country from Milan last week, has been confirmed to be Nigeria’s first coronavirus case.The disease, which originated in Wuhan, China, has killed at least 2,868 people globally, and Ekiti, Ogun, Katsina, Rivers and Gombe, among other states, have since announced their plans to stem its spread.
Akeredolu said this during an inspection visit to the Infectious Disease Hospital in Akure on Tuesday.The governor said, “The facility was built during the Ebola outbreak by the last administration but our administration improved and equipped it.” Adegbenro added that the state government had procured Personal Protective Equipment for health workers.
