The former chairmen left the party last year for the ADC and PDP
Twenty-four former local government chairmen who left the ruling All Progressives Congress last year for the African Democratic Congress and Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State have returned to the ruling party.
The former council bosses at the time of their departure from the APC said the governor abandoned them at the time they were to seek re-election to their respective local government council seats.Among the council bosses was Yekeen Popoola who was the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria in the state between 2011 and 2015.
Others at the meeting the group held in Ibadan, the state capital, on Tuesday were Olabiyi Niyi , Trimisiyu Olayiwola , Olarinre Adisa , Stowel Balogun and Ismail Oyetunde . The rest were Jacob Ogunmola , Fashola David , Ope Salami , Omolewu Segun , Adelore Atànda and John Olaoye Ojedokun .
