The Oyo State House of Assembly on Tuesday said it has passed no fewer than 90 bills and motions into law in the last one year.
Fadeyi noted that prominent among the bills passed into law by the current 9th Assembly included the Oyo state Anti-open grazing bill, Amotekun Corps Bill and Oyo state anti-corruption agency bill. He said that the anti-open grazing bill was meant to curb excesses of herdsmen, while the Amotekun corps law was meant to ensure protection of lives and property in the state.
“We have passed over 90 bills and motions. Combined, private and executive bills. 90 bills and motions, close to 100. All these were done as part of our responsibility apart from the oversight functions. Our primary role is to make laws in the state for the betterment of the people.
