Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on Monday appealed to All Progressives Congress members in the state to forget the differences of the past and focus on the election on February 25 of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Oyebanji, who said Ekiti APC members should strive to exceed his 80 per cent vote target for Tinubu in the presidential poll, told members, “It is not done yet until it is finally done on February 25 when, with our votes, we would have elected Tinubu.”
The governor, represented by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Chief Jide Awe, spoke in Ado Ekiti during the inauguration of the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council in Ekiti State. He said, “No stone should be left unturned in reaching every household on the need to vote for Tinubu. Let us forget the differences of the past and focus on what is before us. The presidential election is very important to us based on what Tinubu means to us in Ekiti State.”
TSGICC’s State Coordinator, Akintade Olayisade, stated that the council would launch “Operation Saturation,” in which it would bombard social media, the entire land space on Ekiti land, the nooks and crannies, hamlets, and farm settlements with content to sell Asiwaju, his pedigree, achievements, enthronement, and the stability of the APC.
