The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has led federal lawmakers from the state in a meeting with the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, and other leaders of the Assembly at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

Oyebanji discussed some of the challenges confronting the state, especially in the areas of poor condition of federal roads and absence of power supply to some areas of the state.

A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, listed those present at the meeting as Senator Bunmi Adetunbi; Senator Opeyemi Bamidele; Femi Bamisile; Yemi Adaramodu; Wunmi Ogunlola, Ibrahim Olanrewaju, Femi Bamisile and Sola Fatoba. The governor also held talks with the leadership of House and Senate Committees on Works, and power where he made strong case for comprehensive renovation of federal roads in Ekiti State and fixing of electricity issues in some parts of the state.

Meanwhile, a former chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Chief Olajide Awe, has assured Ekiti people that Oyebanji’s ongoing consultations with development partners and visits to federal ministries, departments and agencies will bring positive results to the state.
