Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on Thursday installed the new Elemure of Emure Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Ajiboye, calling on aggrieved contenders to refrain from embarking on frivolous and tortuous judicial processes to truncate the enthronement of a monarch duly appointed by government in any community.

Oyebanji said uniting with a new king always fast-tracks development and fosters peace in a community, rather than engaging in court cases that could stoke divisions and bad blood. The governor gave the admonition in Emure Ekiti while presenting the instrument of appointment and Staff of Office to the new royal father. The new monarch, a retired Customs officer, hails from Abenimota Royal Dynasty, one of the longstanding Ruling Houses in Emure Ekiti.

'I want to appeal to those having cases in court to withdraw them and join hands with our royal father to develop this town. The development, peace and unity of this kingdom and its respect should be paramount to all of you, not the removal of a monarch.' Oyebanji promised to work with the new Elemure to bring development to Emure axis and tackle the challenges of insecurity confronting the town and environs.
