The Ekiti State Government on Tuesday reiterated its commitment to the reduction of unemployment among youths in the state through necessary initiatives and keying into available empowerment programmes.
Aduloju said, “Governor Oyebanji knows the value of youths and does not joke with their welfare. His administration is determined to reduce unemployment among our youths to the barest minimum. This is part of his six-point agenda.
“That is why we are calling on you to enable our youths benefit from various empowerment programmes and employment opportunities that will be coming from your agency”. In his response, the NDE coordinator assured the youths of opportunities for them through the agency, saying, “We are ready to collaborate with the state government to ensure that unemployment rate is brought down among our youths. The purpose of this agency is to provide employment for the unemployed”.
He highlighted some programmes of the agency targeted at providing opportunities for the unemployed in the state to include vocational development skills, special public works and small scale enterprises.All rights reserved.
