The Owu Traditional Council, in Ogun State, has formally announced the passing of the Owu traditional ruler of Akinale Town, Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta, the state capital, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye.
Oba Ogunleye died on Wednesday in the United Kingdom after a brief illness at the age of 79. He is expected to be 80 in September 2024.
Obasanjo, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, said the news of Oba Ogunleye’s death was shocking, having informed him about his travelling some weeks back in high spirit.
