Some residents of the Igbajo Community in Osun State have appealed to the state government for the quick installation of a new Owa of Igbajo land.

The residents, who spoke to DAILY POST on Saturday in Osogbo, called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to intervene to ensure the return of peace in the community, which has eluded them due to the absence of a traditional ruler. The stool became vacant after the demise of the late Oba Olufemi Fasade in December 2020.

He called on Governor Adeleke to ensure the quick installation of a new Owa of Igbajo from the rightful ruling house. 'We are after due process, and every Igbajo resident knows the next Owa of Igbajo after the death of the former king, the late Oba Fasade. 'I want to appeal to Governor Adeleke to ensure that rightful ruling house is given the kingship position rather than anyone using political might or popularity to become Owa of Igbajo,' Awodola said.
