Adenike Oladiji, vice-chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure ( FUTA), says a total of 519 students of the institution would be graduating with first class honours as the institution holds its combined 34th and 35th convocation ceremony.
Adenike Oladiji, vice-chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure , says 519 students of the institution would be graduating with first class honours during the combined convocation ceremony slated for November 29.
She said the first-class graduands are among the 6,405 graduating students who would be conferred with first degrees from the 11 faculties of the school. “The 29th and 35th Convocation Ceremonies begin today and will peak on the 29th and 30th of November with award of first and postgraduate degrees,” she said.
Oladiji said a major highlight of the event will be the convocation lecture titled ‘Technological Innovations: A Panacea to Foor Insecurity’, to be delivered by Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the minister of interior.
