A viral video allegedly showing Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh , the House of Representatives member for Aba North & South Federal Constituency, assaulting an Uber driver in Abuja has ignited a wave of public anger and calls for accountability.
In the video, Ikwechegh appears visibly enraged, confronting the driver for what he perceived as a lack of respect. A user, @MayJaYBaE, expressed outrage, writing, “He said he’d make him disappear just because he asked him to come outside. This is the height of classism.” Others, however, were sceptical of a fair outcome, suggesting Ikwechegh’s political influence might shield him from consequences.
