Osun court remands herdsman for alleged damage of farm
A Magistrates’ court sitting in Osogbo, Osun state on Wednesday ordered the remand of a 40-year-old herder, Mohamodu Umar, for alleged damage of a farm.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Adepoju Kayode informed the court that the accused person committed the offence on February 7, 2020, at Egbedi, in Egbeda Local Government area of Osun State. He added that Umar maliciously entered the farm belonging to one Alhaji Isah Salawudeen with his cows and destroyed Maize and cassava valued at three million naira .The defence counsel, R. A. Ngwu prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal term.
The Magistrate, A. O. Ajanaku, however, ordered that the accused person be remanded in police custody.
