The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ajibola Basiru has boasted that the party is getting set to take over power in Osun State, come 2026. Basiru gave this insight during an address to APC members at a meeting in Osogbo on Friday.
While encouraging the Osun APC members to commence mobilising ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election, Basiru chided the state governor, Ademola Adeleke for not being truthful with urban renewal projects. 'The much-mouthed borehole per ward is a fluke. Any Government built on lies and propaganda is bound to crumble,' he said.
He said, 'Basiru's statement overlooks the commendable progress and positive transformations in Osun State under Governor Adeleke's administration, after the good people of Osun emphatically discarded him and his useless tissues of political misfits, whose sole business was to loot and destroy the state. 'It is evident that Basiru is still reeling from the shock of his rejection in the elections.
