Victor Osimhen scored a stunning hat-trick to help Nigeria U-23 male team, Olympic Eagles to a 4-0 win over Libya and also a qualification to this year’s U-23 AFCON finals, and cumulatively next year’s Olympic Games on a 4-2 aggregate score.
Osimhen drafted from the Super Eagles for a rescue mission scored one goal in the first half and two in the second before setting up Nigeria’s fourth goal with a back-heel to seal a brilliant comeback. Barely one minute after, the young Eagles mounted pressure on the Libyans as Villarreal attacker, Samuel Chukwueze tried doubling his side’s lead but danger was averted by the guests.
