Some prominent politicians in Lagos have faulted comments of a former deputy national chairman of the PDP, Chief Bode George, who described APC national
leader, Bola Tinubu, as unfit to be Nigeria’s president in an interview on Arise TV Morning Show on Wednesday.George was reacting to a former minister of works, Adeseye Ogunlewe’s remark that Tinubu was the best person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
“Tinubu is clamouring to be president, and he is a Yoruba man, I don’t think anything is wrong with his aspiration. We should not bring ourselves down, all we Yoruba people should not bring ourselves down.” For Senator Anthony Adefuye , Chief Bode George’ s comment should not be taken seriously because he is seeking relevance in the present political equation.
He said, “I think that of all the aspirants that have shown interest in the presidential race so far, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the best, there is no doubt about that, if one should go by his performance when he was governor of Lagos State. You can see his achievements.
