The Edo South Business Forum has criticized recent statements made by Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, in which he pledged to continue the legacy of former governor Adams Oshiomhole if elected.
Osazuwa Imafidon, Chairman of the Edo South Business Forum, expressed concerns over Okpebholo’s declaration, warning that it signals a potential return to the 'dark days of governance' under Oshiomhole. The forum also condemned Oshiomhole’s treatment of teachers, particularly during a verification exercise described as a 'spectacle of humiliation,' which created a hostile working environment filled with 'fear and intimidation.'
Contrary to claims of development, the forum accused Oshiomhole’s administration of failing to attract real, sustainable economic growth, labelling his legacy as one of 'missed opportunities and unfulfilled promises.'
