Mike Wilner: Blue Jays’ problems keep multiplying when they’re in their division
Unless they’re playing against teams in the American League East, of course. In those games, they’re among the worst.
“We’re at a different spot as a group right now with what we’re doing, where we know we can go, sense of urgency, time of schedule, things like that to where we last faced them. So, yeah, this will be a big series.” The Rays, who went into Friday with the best record in the big leagues at 56-28, were 39-18 when facing anybody but the AL East, a game and a half better than the Jays at 38-20. Next best were Atlanta and the Yankees who entered Friday’s games with interdivisional records of 34-21.
