The gas explosion occurred on Sunday at the Golden Estate, Ijebu-Ode.Oyeyemi explained that immediately the incident happened, policemen were deployed in the scene.

“It is true; only one person died and his corpse has been taken to the State General Hospital morgue in Ijebu-Ode,” the PPRO stated.

On the number of persons injured, Oyeyemi said, “No one sustained injuries. It is only one person that the explosion affected and he died. Others escaped unhurt.” When asked what the command was doing to douse the apprehension of residents of the area over the incident, the police spokesperson said there was nothing like apprehension.

“There is nothing like apprehension. Immediately the incident happened, policemen were drafted to the place. It was even the police who evacuated the corpse and took it to the morgue,” he added.All rights reserved.
