The bus was packed full of tourists and crashed into a lorry, according to local media One person has been killed and two others injured after a bus packed with tourists crashed into a lorry in Corfu. The crash has happened near Tzavros, in the centre of the island popular with holidaymakers. According to Kerkyrasimera, the driver of the lorry has been seriously injured and the bus driver has been killed. Most of the tourists have now left the bus but some of them are still stuck inside.
The 47-year-old had been out for a walk in the town of Chania, Crete, when a car ploughed into their group. The driver lost control of the vehicle and smashed into the woman and her 54-year-old sister-in-law as a result. The victim, who suffered an injury to the head, was rushed to a hospital in the nearby town of Rethmino. She died there a few hours later. Her sister-in-law survived the crash, but suffered abrasions to her arms and legs.
