Ondo residents protest BEDC’s outrageous billing, sales of fake cables
The residents comprising landlords of Ajayi Elekumo estate within the axis of Alagbaka extension who stormed the BEDC head office in Akure barricaded the entrance of the office which prevented the officials of the company from gaining access to their offices.
The residents who staged a mass protest which disrupted vehicular movement along NEPA/Alagbaka road were armed with placards of various inscriptions. One of the Landlords, Leye Igbagbo who accused the BEDC officials of forcing them to purchase inferior cables said that they can no longer tolerate the inability of the BEDC to power the transformer they bought with their hard-earned money.
