A popular cleric in Ondo State and Senior Pastor of Awaiting the Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has admonished residents of the state not to vote for stingy politicians during the forthcoming guber poll. According to the cleric, making such a move will have a negative impact on the development of the state.
Giwa, who gave this advice in Akure, the state capital, stated that the state cannot afford to experience what it went through in the last seven years. He also advised aspirants whose purpose of running for the governorship seat was to milk the state to quit the gubernatorial race. 'I know a stingy man among the contestants. I know him very well; he is now spending money by force just because he wants to get the ticket to the party. Tell him that he is wasting his time. 'People know him.
If he gets what he wants, the state will suffer for another six years. He's too parsimonious. We don't need such material to be governors in Ondo State. 'We need a politician who can take the state back to the days of Baba Adebayo Adefarati, Mimiko and Dr. Olusegun Agagu. 'Stingy people find it hard to give or lend money to others. They take more and give less. If they want something from you, they spend it. After they get what they want, they show their true colours.
