The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ondo State chapter, has accused Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of exploring various means to win the forthcoming November 16 governorship election at all costs. PDP emphasised that the governor had been in a panic mood, hence the deployment of tactics ahead of the poll.
While describing the actions of the governor as desperate, the opposition party disclosed that part of the tactics was the N31 billion contract for the construction of a judicial complex in Akure, the state capital, allegedly awarded to the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
'Having failed to convince the people why they should trust him with their mandate, some panicky measures were taken. And because they were not all well thought out, they all fell flat on their backs. 'The 416 political appointees, carefully selected from the 203 Electoral Wards, were shocked to discover that, for the month of October 2024, they received no salary alert.
