De Gea had signed a new contract with Manchester United, only for the Red Devils to retract their offer. That is according to The Athletic, which has now provided clarity on De Gea’s future at Old Trafford. De Gea was reportedly offered a substantial pay cut to extend his stay at Man United, something the Spaniard willingly took up.
