The Visitor and Chancellor, Mountain Top University, Dr Daniel Olukoya, has appealed to parents not to leave the nurturing of their children to tertiary institutions alone.
Speaking in a statement at the 8th matriculation of the institution, Olukoya, said every student who enrolled in MTU for the first time must go through the rites of matriculation and take the matriculation oath, signifying formal admission in MTU.
While advising the parents, he said, ‘‘Let me turn briefly to our parents. First, I congratulate you also because, by reason of your ward’s matriculation, you have become a major stakeholder and friend of Mountain Top University. Whether you are a university graduate or not, pay attention to the work of your wards. Guide them to attain academic and professional excellence. Nurture your wards to bear good fruits. Do not leave them for the university.
Olukoya also congratulated the matriculants on the life-transforming transition and admonished them to make the best use of the opportunities offered through the matriculation and membership of Mountain Top University.
