Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, widely known as Charles Olumo or Agbako, celebrated his 101st birthday this year. The veteran actor attributes his longevity to God’s gift rather than any special regimen.
“How could I have ever thought I would be this old or celebrate 101 years on earth? I never thought of it,” he said, attributing his long life to the wonders of God. The veteran actor also spoke about his relationship with younger actors and continues to offer guidance and support. He acknowledges the efforts of colleagues such as Mama Rainbow, Foluke Daramola, Doyin Amodu, and others who have supported him.
When asked if they render assistance to him, he said, “Yes, they are trying; the likes of Mama Rainbow, Foluke Daramola, Doyin Amodu, Fatimo Amodu, and Kunle Afod. The popular juju musician and respected man of God, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey, has been very supportive too. I am grateful to all of them.”
