Samuel Ajayi, media aide to Captain Hosa Wells Okunbo, has described as baseless objection to the decision by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons to confer his principal with 2020 Anti-Trafficking Hero.According to the statement, he was responding to a group Girls for Change, which, he said, had objected to the conferment of the award on Okunbo.
Ajayi said, “Going by his selfless service to humanity and how the scourge of human trafficking has negatively impacted on his native Edo State, and the battles he has fought to end the menace, Captain Okunbo fully deserved the award. “Let me also add that his opponents should try something more sensible and meaningful to attack him and not through any faceless organisation.”
