Okonjo-Iweala’s brother becomes traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom

By this appointment, Chief Ifechukwude is elevated to the status of Obi, a first class traditional ruler.

Okonjo-Iweala, a World Bank top executive, made this known on Friday via her official Twitter handle @NOIweala. “It is with thanks to Almighty God that I announce two impactful events: the Ascension to the throne of the Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom of my brother, Obi Ifechukwude Chukwuka Okonjo, upon the passing away of my father Obi Chukuka Okonjo at the age of 91.”
