The Ogun State Government-owned So-Safe Corps has recovered a stolen vehicle during an encounter with suspected car thieves in Ado-Odo.
A statement from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Soji Ganzallo, said that at about 4:15 am on Saturday, October 14, officers of the Corps in Ado-Odo Division while on routine patrol around Olorunleke Community, sighted some men in a Mercedes Benz. The statement signed by the So-Safe Spokesperson, Moruf Yusuf, said the operatives had some suspicions about the men occupying the 2019 white Benz DL 450 4Matic car, marked EKY 520 JA.
“Having questioned their ownership of the vehicle, they stylishly escaped from the scene,” Ganzallo said. The So-Safe boss explained that documents found in the car showed that “the vehicle was snatched from its owner at gunpoint in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State.” He noted that another number plate, AKD 144 AC, was found hidden in the vehicle. The vehicle has since been handed over to the police in Ado-Odo Divisional Headquarters for further investigations.
