The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has decried the non-compliance with government policy on education by some private school owners in the state. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abayomi Arigbabu, while meeting with the heads of private schools’ associations on Friday, said the act is unacceptable.

Arigbabu stated that some private school owners violated government decisions, such as shifting of resumption date and running foreign curriculum. Others include failure to comply with government academic calendar on boarding of learners on Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda platform and non-registration of Junior Secondary School 3 learners for Basic Education Certificate Examination .

He warned private school owners from giving learners double promotion, saying any learner involved would be returned and the culprit school sanctioned. Arigbabu said, 'Any school culpable of these cases will be locked up and stopped from being existing. We want things to go on according to the structure on ground.
