It was a tragic Sunday for many residents of Lafenwa, Itele-ota in Ado-odo-ota Local Council of Ogun State following the destruction of their houses and property by rain storm.
The residents who have been praying for rain due to hot weather and its effect on their crops for the past weeks got more than they bargained for, yesterday, when the heavens opened up with a heavy downpour that lasted for over two hours.
He lamented that he will not be able to repair the roof considering the present economic situation in the country.Another victim, Lukman Aremu, whose house was water-logged in Lafenwa, said the rains also brought down fences and gates, including his own.
