The Ogun State Government has confirmed that the driver of the Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker, tested positive for coronavirus.
The Special Adviser to the state governor, Remmy Hazzan, said this on Wednesday in Abeokuta.Hazzan who allayed the fears over the possible transmission from the commissioner to the members of the State Executive Council, said the government had not held a physical meeting since the outbreak of the disease.Hazzan explained that the driver on Sunday complained of fever, adding that the commissioner insisted that he should be thoroughly tested.
He said, “That test made us to discover his COVID-19 status. So, all her personal staff have been asked to isolate for 14 days and the commissioner has reduced her public appearance. “After 14 days, if none of them shows any symptom, it can be taken for granted that there are no issues.”All rights reserved.
