Ogoja indigenes name Dino as replacement for late Senator Oko
Senator Oko passed on in a UK medical facility on March 23, 2020.Other local governments in the district – Obudu, Yala, Bekwarra and Obanliku – have been represented in the Senate at different times.
In a statement on Wednesday, MAOS President, Jones Bisong, said they will no longer “sit and stare in the face of perennial marginalisation”. “Magam is educated in character and in learning. He will be a unifier and he understands that he will not only be representing Ogoja but the entire northern senatorial district,” the statement read. Dino, 37, a Medical Doctor by profession, holds a BSc in Human Anatomy and an MBBS degree from the University of Port Harcourt .
