OFWs asked to notify govt in advance about plans to return to the PH

Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) should inform government in advance about when they are scheduled to return to the country.

“Before they leave their country of origin, they will notify us five days before their departure,” he said during the Laging Handa press briefing on June 10, Wednesday.In this way, he said OFWs can be immediately subjected to a mandatory reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test upon arrival, which also gives local government units time to prepare.
