A “flexible” MECQ was recommended by mayors of Metro Manila in April this year when COVID-19 cases also spiked.is a “middle ground” between MECQ and a looser general community quarantine, meaning strict border control and health protocols will still be implemented but more activities will be allowed.or an early lockdown in order to stem the further spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant in the country.
The research group explained that an early lockdown will be a shorter lockdown as it would effectively bring down the cases ahead of time.if an early lockdown is not imposed, considering how fast the Delta variant spreads.
