In a statement on Friday, the governor expressed sadness over the incident, praying that God will comfort the family of the victims and grant the injured quick recovery.
He said, “I received the news of an accident involving a vehicle conveying members of the Salvation Army, which claimed the lives of its members with a heavy heart. Many were reported injured in the unfortunate incident, which happened on the bridge across the Ovia River. I pray for the repose of the souls of the departed and quick recovery for the injured.”
