Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has said the state government’s synergy with security agencies has reduced kidnapping along the Benin-Auchi Expressway, assuring that government
The governor said this while reviewing the state of security in Edo, after a joint security meeting with heads of various security agencies at the Government House, Benin City.
“We have seen a considerable reduction in incidents of kidnapping on that axis. We have seen a few more cases in the Uromi-Agbor axis and that is being worked on. We also considered a report on drug abuse by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency .
MEANWHILE, the Edo State government has generated over N3 billion in less than three years through the Edo State Geographic Information Service following the Obaseki-led administration’s reforms to ease the process of land registration and management. He restated the agency’s plan to open zonal offices in Auchi, Edo North Senatorial District and Uromi, Edo Central Senatorial District, before the end of 2021 to issue at least 10, 000 C-of-Os yearly.
