Tajudeen Baruwa, president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), says the union is ready to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration to actualise its economic policies and programmes.
Baruwa spoke on Thursday shortly after he was sworn in alongside other executive members of the union during the 10th national quadrennial delegate conference of NURTW held in Lafia, Nasarawa state.
He assured that the union would always ensure the safety of commuters and their goods, noting that this would further add to the federal government’s efforts at achieving economic recovery.“The conference in-session after critically assessing Tinubu’s administration, though less than three months in office, expressed satisfaction with the steps taken so far towards revamping the economy of the country for the overall benefit of the people,” Baruwa said.
