Number of areas with unhealthy API readings rises to 38 thesundaily haze API

The number of areas with unhealthy Air Pollutant Index readings has risen to 38 as of 8am today, compared to only 18 yesterday.According to the Air Pollutant Index Management System portal, two new areas in Kedah which recorded unhealthy air quality this morning were Sungai Petani and Kulim Hi-Tech .

Other new areas with unhealthy API readings were ILP Miri, Sarawak ; Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan ; Alor Gajah, Melaka ; Segamat, Johor ; Seberang Jaya , Penang ; as well as Rompin , Temerloh , Jerantut , Indera Mahkota Kuantan , and Balok Baru Kuantan in Pahang.Meanwhile, the haze situation in Sarawak showed a slight improvement as only four areas recorded unhealthy air quality this morning, namely Miri , Sri Aman , Kuching , and Samarahan , compared to eight areas yesterday.
