The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ) Osun State Command has apprehended Olalekan Kehinde , a 24-year-old resident of Osogbo, for allegedly vandalising railway tracks. Kehinde was caught in the act of removing Pandrol clips from the railway tracks at Dagbolu, Osun State , on November 18, 2024, with the help of his friend Abbey, who remains at large. Kehinde confessed to removing the clips to sell them to metal scrap buyers .
The NSCDC Commandant, Igbalawole Sotiyo, warned that those found buying vandalised materials would face legal consequences. He also encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities
